When the majority of people who get started on line learn about affiliate marketing, they think about selling a product like a sale rep and only getting paid a 1-time commission. I say this because a few years ago, I thought this as well, until I discovered that there are much better ways to make money online.
If you find the right companies, you can create passive income for yourself. Meaning money that comes in every month like clock work whether you decide to work or not.
With that being said, don’t think that you only have to sell products that offers reoccurring commissions.
If you are using a product or service that will be of benefit to your readers, don’t hesitate to promote it. Your main focus should always be to add value to your readers and do your best to improve the quality of their lives.
If you can simultaneously put yourself in a position to be a person of value and work on growing your passive income stream, wouldn’t you feel good about that?
I know I would, that’s what drives me.
In my opinion, all companies should offer a residual commissions for their affiliates, but that’s just me.
I was a little reluctant to share this, but it took me years before I even found out that residual affiliate programs existed. With this article I hope that I can spare you the time that it took me.
So, lets talk a bit about the difference between:
One Time Commissions vs Residual Commissions
For the most part, one time and residual affiliate programs work the same way. You have to find a product that you believe in, write a review about that product or create a review website about that product like this one, then you have to drive traffic to that product and when someone buys you make money.
The only difference is that with a one time commission, you only get paid once. With a residual commission as long as a person stays active with their month membership, you receive a monthly commission.
A residual affiliate program is a long term strategy and if you roll up your sleeves and put the time energy and effort in your residual income opportunity, the money you make will start to compound.
Picture if you put yourself in the position to make just 1 sale a day at a commission of $25. It’s may not seem like alot now, but when you do the math you would be making $750 a month, which is def enough to pay some bills, but that money will never increase, until you put more energy in increasing your sales.
However, with a residual income affiliate program the 1st month you will be making $750, but after one full year as long as keep getting one sale a day you could be making 6 times that or more, depending on your attrition rate (meaning people who dropping off and stop making payments). So could an extra $4,500 of passive income change your life?
I think we both know the answer to that.
That best part is that once you have your system in place, even if you take your foot off the gas and you were making one sale a day, your income would still keep growing.
You don’t have to be a Genius to Make This Work
There is absolutely no MAGIC to it. The reason I chose Content Marketing as my marketing strategy is because it’s easy and you start making sale instantly once you get your content to rank on the first page of Google. This is assuming you are doing everything else right, such as keyword research, your presell, the product your promoting has a good sale funnel and so on.
You don’t to have an avalanche of traffic to grow a full time income stream with a residual affiliate program. It all builds over time. What you do need is to be persistence and take massive action. If your creating one piece of content a day, you might feel a little discourage at first because you won’t really see any huge checks coming your way for the 1st 30, 60, 90 days or so, but that’s just the way thing are.
If your going to make money you have to work hard to make things happen. Most people give up and claim that making money online is impossible. I whole heartily believe with the right training I can help anyone make $1,000 a month or more in passive income, if they are willing to roll up their selves and go to work.

It would be wise not to start promoting a product, just because it could potentially make you ALOT of money. Your readers will be able to sense it when your just trying to push something on them just to make a sale and they will not end up buying from you any way.
